Clinical and Biomechanical Outcomes Following Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction – Lindsey Dietrich, MD: Kalyssa Creed
The primary objective of this study is to investigate pre-operative measures in athletes whom sustained an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and to compare with post-operative outcomes.
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:
- ACL injury for the first or second time on the involved limb
- Between 13 and 25 years of age
- Involved in a level 1 sport (e.g., basketball, football, or soccer) or level 2 sport (e.g., baseball, racket sports, or skiing). Sport must include activities such as jumping, pivoting, or hard cutting.
- Participate in a physical therapy return-to-sport rehabilitation program
- Do not have a full thickness chondral defect of 1cm 2 or greater
- Do not have a Grade II or III MCL or LCL sprain, posterior cruciate ligament tear (grade III), simultaneous fracture with ACL tear
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:

Risk Assessment of Lower Extremity Injury in Competitive Athletes – Lindsey Dietrich, MD; Kalyssa Creed
The primary objective of this study is to investigate risk factors for injuries of the lower extremity in competitive athletes. The secondary objective of this study is to develop a risk stratification model for lower extremity injuries in the competitive athlete.
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:
- Between 10-25 years old
- Involved in a level 1 sport (e.g., basketball, football, or soccer) or level 2 sport (e.g., baseball, racket sports, or skiing). Sport must include activities such as jumping, pivoting, or hard cutting
- If they are not experiencing an active lower extremity orthopedic injury (having been injured within the last 3 months)
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:

Outcomes Following Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Repair or Reconstruction – Lindsey Dietrich, MD; Kalyssa Creed
The primary objective of this study is to investigate pre-operative measures in athletes who have had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair or reconstruction and to compare with post-operative outcomes.
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:
- Between 12-60 years old
- Has injured their ACL
- Recreational or competitive athlete participating in at least 50 hours/year
- Participate in a physical therapy return-to-sport rehabilitation program
- Do not have a full thickness chondral defect of 1cm 2 or greater
- Do not have a Grade II or III MCL or LCL sprain, posterior cruciate ligament tear (grade III), or simultaneous fracture with ACL tear
- Criteria for inclusion of study subjects:
