Parkinson’s Disease rehabilitation is a specialized program performed by physical, occupational and speech therapists trained in Parkinson’s Disease care. Patients who have trouble with movement, self-care, speech or swallowing learn techniques to retrain the body’s muscles to move and speak with greater freedom and improved control.
Exercise programs offered include LSVT® Big and Loud (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment), PWR!Up™, Speak Out®, Loud Crowd® and free Dance for Movement Disorders classes.
Patients who go through our rehabilitation program generally gain a greater ability to talk, walk, eat and swallow. In addition, they have improved strength, flexibility and reduced pain.

Dance for PD®
Dance for Movement Disorders is a free class for people with Parkinson’s Disease allowing them to enjoy the benefit of dancing while managing their physical and emotional symptoms.

Parkinson's Support Group
Located in the Cardiac Tower South Classroom at Texas Health Fort Worth (THFW) from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month, the THFW Parkinson’s Support Group exists for people with PD and their families to share information and offer mutual support to each other.
