Why Choose Texas Health Fort Worth High-Risk and Breast Cancer Survivorship Program?

According to The American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, which equates to an average risk female having a 13% chance of breast cancer during their lifetime. However, for some women, the risk of developing the disease is much higher. In addition, breast cancer patients that complete their treatment will enter a new stage of their cancer journey – survivorship – that offers opportunities for health education, counseling, and intervention.

The Texas Health Fort Worth High-Risk and Breast Cancer Survivorship Program offers comprehensive breast cancer risk assessment, education about risk reduction, and specialized tools for earlier detection as well as customized survivorship care as an extension of breast cancer treatment.
